Automatic Import of Personnel Data

Step 1: Configuring the portiervision.ini File

1. Open the portiervision.ini file using a text editor.

2. Add a new section [PERSIMPORT] at the end of the file.

3. Within this section:Enable automatic start by adding the line AUTOSTART=YES.Specify the file path to the personnel data by adding the line DATA=YourPath:\PersonalData\Personnel.csv.[PERSIMPORT]

Step 2: Setting Up the Automatic Import in Windows Task Scheduler

1. Open Task Scheduler:Press Win + S, type Task Scheduler, and open the application.

2. Create a New Task:In the Task Scheduler, select Create Task from the Actions menu.

3. Configure General Settings:Under the General tab: Name the task, e.g., PortierVisionAutoImport.Optionally, add a description to clarify the purpose.Configure security options suitable for your environment.

4. Define the Trigger:Switch to the Triggers tab and click New.Specify when the task should run (e.g., at system startup or a specific time).

5. Add the Action:Go to the Actions tab and click New.Choose Start a Program as the action.Provide the path to the executable: C:\Program Files\portier\vision4\PortierVision_PDI.exe (adjust based on your installation path).In the Add arguments (optional) field, enter AUTOSTART.

6. Configure Additional Settings:Set up additional options and credentials, especially if the task must run while the user is logged out.

Tip for Efficient Data Integration

For streamlined key management:

• Request external contractors (e.g., cleaning or maintenance firms) to send potential keyholder data in advance, in the correct format.

• This ensures all information is pre-loaded in portier®VISION when issuing keys.

By following these steps, the automatic import of personnel data will be successfully configured in portier®VISION.
